Happy Birthday Brooklynn

We had a blast celebrating Brooklynn's 1 year mark. We had many friends and family join in the celebrations. Thanks for sharing her special day everyone :)

My first attempt at doing something fancy for a cake. It was three layers of chocolate cake, and in between each layer I used pudding and whipped cream. Once we started cutting into it, it was slipping and sliding all over the place, and toppled over but still tasted delicious.Waiting for her first piece of cake and first real sugar rush.

I love this little face!

I can't believe my baby is 1! This has been the most exciting, and rewarding year of my life as I watched her grow and change and ever so quickly. It's been amazing to see how much this little child of mine has come into her own so much in such a short amount of time, she's really taken on the world for what it has to offer a person in their first year of life. I'll never be able to fully express how thankful I am for her, and the blessing she is in mine and her daddy's life. I look forward to many more birthday's Brooklynn and watching you grow more and more each day.

My family came to visit recently, and they've gone back to Ottawa already but I just wanted to thank them for all they did while they were here. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to get to know Brooklynn more. When there is a baby/ grandchild in the mix there is a different kind of love mingled through the moments you spend together. The dynamics change in your relationships and I love it. I'm so grateful for my family, I wish we saw more of you more often.
