Prince Caspian

This week is going pretty slow for me, however it has been nice and somewhat eventful. I am soo glad that the rain has stopped. I hope it stays that was for a little while too! It made everything very green and pretty but we are having all the landscaping re-done around our building so it was just a big muddy mess everywhere. Whenever we let Max out to do his business I'd pretty much have to bath him when he came in depending on how dirty he got. There is like one little small patch of grass by the dumpster and I think he has done his business on every square inch!
Last night Jason and I went to the driving range after dinner, he then dropped me off at Westhills to see the new Narnia movie with his sisters and parents. He took off to basketball. The movie was soo good. I thought it was better than the first one, but I heard that they are only making one more after it because this one did so bad the opening week it came out. Thats too bad but it is really hit or miss depending on the movies you are up against that are released at the same time.
Anyways I recommend going to see it if you haven't already!
I will try to post some pics soon to show you how all the landscaping is coming along around the building too. :)

Memoir- Tag

OK, so my sister in law, Megan tagged me. . . . I think that this is like a blogger's version of the game tag, so because I am "IT" right now, I have to do the following:1. Write the title to your own memoir using 6 words.2. Post it on your blog.3. Link to the person that tagged you.4. Tag five more blogs. ( p.s. Megan I just copied and pasted this right from your blog :) )

After googleing the definition of a memoir ( just so I knew I had the right idea) I feel like I had to think of something kind of scholarly or philosophical...about myself or to define my life. That wasn't easy to do in 6 words, so I tried finding/ thinking of quotes I like... Here's what I came up with:

"Trust in Whom Knows You Best"

Why did I choose this? Well I have found lately that I am quick to be negative, doubtful, and afraid. The adversary knows my weaknesses very well and wants me feel these feelings. My Heavenly Father knows me so much more, and I need to trust in him more, and know that things will work out, or get better and life will feel like a burden much less, if I have more trust in him. Someone taught a lesson last Sunday that emphasized this through prayer and it's stuck with me through out the week. I am truely greatful for it because it has helped me a lot :)

Haha well I don't have that many blogs to tag: So if you are on my list you are tagged and if you read this some how you have been tagged too :)

Have Fun!

The Weekend

It is currently 11pm on Monday night... I have been asleep on the couch since 7pm - haha I am going to regret this tomorrow morning when I have to drag my self outta bed - I am WIDE awake right now! I was actually really confused when I woke up because it was daylight when I fell asleep and when I woke up the house was pitch black and it was completely dark out. I thought I had to get ready for work, and then realized what I had done. I am currently on extra strength Tylenol because I have had a bad headache all afternoon. Sucks I know.. but I know why I have it :) ahah I was rocking out to hard last night on the rockband drums and my shoulders and neck are tense from staring at the TV screen so hard and being hunched over the drums. I gotta make sure I am a little more comfortable in the future so I don't deal with this type of an aftermath. I just love Rockband!!! I would love to have it in our house but I doubt our neightbours would appriciate it. I would also need to have some serious skills of singing and drumming at the same time while I'd nag Jay to play guitar with me! He doesn't have the same passion as myself and fellow Rockband jammers ( Megan, Jenna, Kristin etc) So it just wouldn't be the same over here.
We also celebrated Mother's day on Sunday. We went over to Jay's aunt's house. We had a nice dinner with his grandparent's and cousin's. I called my mom after church and wished her a Happy Mother's day and I had a pretty flower arrangement delivered to her on Saturday. She said she loved it!
Speaking of Sunday... Wow am I glad it's over. Don't get me wrong I love church but I had to speak in sacrament and teach in Relief Society and I am sooo glad thats over with! I felt slightly over whelmed and I had never spoke in our ward before - so that can be a little nerve racking. Jay spoke too so it was nice to be up on the stand together. I was surprised to see him a little nervous and the way he delivered his talk was so much different than I expected. Jay is very confident in my mind when he talks to anyone about the gospel and very out spoken and easy going with conversations. This is why he was such a successful missionary in my mind. I am more reserved and worried that I know enough to explain it well it enough to non-members/ members. However Jay was so reverent in his talk and seemed a little shy up there. He had a wonderful message, and spoke very well. I was just surprised to not hear him crack a joke or something. Well all in all I think we both did pretty good, but I am sure glad it's over with! YAAAH!

My little Chef!

Well as of May 3rd we hit the one year mark! Whoo hoo! Our first year down! We also happened to get married on Megan's birthday. So we celebrated that on Sunday with family. Jay and I headed out to Canmore on Friday night and came home Sunday morning. We stayed at Canmore Crossing. It was nice to get away, and just try to spoil ourselves for the weekend. We had a few hiccup's when we first arrived, not knowing where to check in and than having a room switch too. But we got passed that and still enjoyed ourselves. Friday night we cooked steaks and had an awesome dinner. Jay is quite the Chef! Saturday morning was more or less the highlight of the weekend because we went horse back riding at Rafter's Six Ranch. We were going through hills and forests around the mountains for about an hour and a half. It was so beautiful! For the rest of Saturday we spent time around main street and went out for dinner, and just relaxed for the rest of the evening. Sunday morning we packed up and headed to Jay's parent's and waited for everyone to come home for dinner and Megan's birthday Celebration.

Lots of fun, and pictures to come soon :)
