Max Has a New Friend!!

When I got home from work today I took my driver head cover and started attacking Max with it (play fighting). He was having a blast so when I got bored I just let him run around with the stuffed animal and attack it himself. I then decided that I didn't want his goober all over it and placed it back on my golf club. Well Max didn't like this very much because he wasn't done playing with his new friend... He proceeded to rescue his friend from the top of my golf bag! YES he jumped on the lower pocket and made his way up the bag! Hes just so stinkin cute - We love our little guy!

Stop and Reflect more often!

It really makes you reflect and think about your life when you see changes in someone else's, for bad or good... I wish I didn't have to compare myself to others to realize that I am soo blessed! I wish I was consciously aware of it all the time, and that I was always happy!
I just want to say that I am soo thankful for the gospel in my life, and for the understanding it gives me. That I am able to utilize the councels and teachings I read about in the scriptures into my life. I am so greatful for my Savior and for the amazing examplar He was. I feel like I am soo far from perfection but I am greatful to be able turn to him for support and help in this life at anytime I need it. Although I just wish I remebered to do this more frequently!
I recently found out that a friend of mine is going through a divorce and is currently separated from her husband. She and her husband got married a month after Jay and I. (It is easy to compare yourself to other newly weds because we're kinda in the same league) I thought she lived such a wonderful life, she's gorgeous, thin, good career, cute home, happy marriage, and she is soo sweet. Was I too quick to judge this though? I feel like it. I feel guilty almost, that I assumed this but she wasn't as happy as I thought. The things that have been going on in her personal life are more than I would ever want to imagine and go through in mine. My prayers are with her and her husband. I hope that things will work out for them that they will find happiness again in this life. And I know they can. It just lets me think that you never know what people are going through or how they are feeling inside. I need to be a more kind and less judging. I need to be more greatful for what I have and never take my husband, family and friends for granted. My relationships with them are precious and a true blessing. I need to have a greater love for my fellow men and not assume that they don't hurt like I can, and suffer pain and sorrow. We need to uplift one another continually! I hope that I may have more oppertunity to do that, to be a better friend and neighbour to those that surround me.
I blogged this as a sort of reminder, sometimes I think I need to be chastised in this respect. But I know that I have a testimony of these things too and I hope to live up to those convictions.

Weekend

I really enjoyed my last weekend on April 25th. It was relaxing yet eventful too. Jenn, Justin, Jason and I stayed at the farm in Glenwood. It is soo cute, clean and just pretty out there. I love the peacefulness and stillness of the area too. We drove down Friday around dinner time and got there just after 9pm. We watched 3 episodes of The Office, and then got ready for bed. We had to get up real early because Jay had to meet the Young Men at the temple in Cardston for 8am. I was sort of dreading having to get up that early but in the end I loved being able to be finished at 10am. Everyone else in the session was so old, I guess those early birds like to go at that time too :) I just enjoyed my time there, and feeling such a wonderful spirit.

We left around 10:30 and headed straight for the 7 eleven in Clareholm for some fried chicken!! We listend to Jay's country mix the whole way there and back... I wonder if that was torture for Justin or not.... haha

Jay and I slept most of the afternoon when we got home, then picked up Max from Megan's house. He loves going there soo much to see Zeek, and when we bring him home he mopes around for the rest of the day because he misses his buddy! They are so cute together!

Well I am very happy that we have had the oppertunity to go to the temple 2 months in a row now - we want to keep going regularly, and it is my hope that we can do so. Here are some pictures, enjoy :)

Fun With Photos!

A couple weekends ago I had the opportunity of attending a digital scrapbooking class @ my mother in law's store, Scrapbooker's Paradise. It was very cool, and I discovered some amazing ways to help me preserve my photos and memories through various programs. I still have a lot to learn, and I eventually hope to publish a few books too through this really neat company called Heritage Makers. Well here are some samples of my work, if you click on them you can enlarge them for better viewing :)
